Adding New Channels to Your Receiver
Please perform a blind scan if you have a Fortec Classic or Fortec Mercury II receiver.
On Fortec Classic press Menu | Antenna Setup | OK| go down to Scan Mode| Press right arrow until you see Full power scan| go up to press ok to scan | press ok. Wait for channels to download.

On Mercury II press the P.sacn button|press OK|press the green button.

On Trimax 100. Press menu| Select Installation then OK| Select Manual TP Search then OK. Go down to second line where it says Frequency| Enter the new frequency using your remote control|Go down to SR. and enter #'s |Go down to polarity enter the correct one (change by pressing the right arrow) Press OK. Press the red button at the bottom of your remote (NOT THE POWER BUTTON). Channels will be scanned. Press OK. Exit the menu. Channels will be at the bottom of your channel list (Not in the original place).

Dish Alignment Quick Start:
1. Assemble your dish.
2. Install your LNBF on your dish and tilt the LNBF to compensate for polarization skew. For example:
o In Sacramento, CA: LNBF should be turned 25 degrees counter clockwise
o Los Angeles: 30 degrees clockwise
o New York: 30 degrees counter-clockwise
3. Mount your dish on its mast. Make sure mast is 100% vertical and solid.
4. Calculate your Azimuth and Elevation! (Email for your location pointing position)

5. Turn your dish towards the correct Azimuth and hand tightens screws.
6. Adjust dish Elevation to correct value and hand tighten screws.
7. Connect your receiver to the LNBF using RG6 coaxial cable. Make sure the receiver is "OFF" when you do that.
8. Turn your receiver "ON"

Receiver Quick Start:
1. Press "Menu"
2. Press right vol arrow to go to Installation “Install”
3. Click "OK"
4. Select "Antenna Setting"
o Antenna: 1
o LNB Type: UNIVERSAL (For Fortec Star LNBF - Low: 9750, High: 10600)
Note: If you are using a "Standard" LNBF, then select:
LNB Type: SINGLE
Click "OK"
Single: 10750 (enter this value using remote control)
Press down arrow to "STORE"
Click "OK"
o LNB Power: V/H
o 22Khz: Auto
o DiSEqC: Off
o 12V: Off
o Press down arrow to "STORE"
o Click "OK"
5. Press down arrow to "Channel Search"
6. Click "OK"
o Search Index: 1
o Antenna: 1
o Satellite: Select "Telstar_5 (97.0W)"
o Search Mode: NIT FTA
o Click "OK" on TP Data
o Use the right <vol or left vol> buttons on the remote to select transponder frequency 11874, 11898, or 12177
o Click "OK"
o Positioner: OFF
7. Now adjust your dish alignment until you see the "Signal" and "Quality" bars turn GREEN in color.
8. Press down to "START"
9. Click "OK" to search channels
